City
of Middletown
Mayor Joe DeStefano
The Office of the Mayor may be contacted Monday through Friday, between
8:00a.m. and 4:00p.m, at 845-346-4100.
Located near the intersection of two major highways, Interstate Route
84 and New York State Route 17, the City is readily accessible by
car and bus. Many commuters live in Middletown and use the many commuter
trains and busses to New York City and the greater metropolitan area.
This affords them the opportunity to work in those areas, and take
advantage of Middletown's many beautiful, affordable homes. With an
outstanding school system and a hospital that provides excellent,
up to date, medical care, Middletown continues to be a destination
for those seeking a slower way of life without the distractions found
in the larger urban communities. |
The Historic Paramount Theatre
Paramount Theatre in Downtown Middletown is one of the areas finest examples of community support for restoration of a Downtown Landmark, and for the extensive cultural development of the City and the area. It is a notable cornerstone of Middletown’s growing downtown entertainment destinations.
We proudly participate with other downtown
businesses in spirited cooperation to draw and cater to the needs of the
region’s citizens. Our programming has consistently appealed to widely
diversified audiences representing the true identity of our community. Up and
coming acts, classical performances, established pop stars, entertainment icons,
children’s events, civic fundraisers, local dance recitals, urban gospel
theatre, business receptions, patriotic events, and nostalgic acts fill each of
our seasons and the memories of our audiences. Let our growing history be a part
of yours. |

Middletown
Fire Department Middletown
can be justly proud of its Fire Department, always progressive, always
ready to serve their fellow citizens. After a somewhat shaky beginning
in 1812, through the development of a fire department in 1859, to
today’s modern organization, a common thread emerges – that
of unselfish service to the community.

attract new business and industry, support the expansion and retention
of existing business and industry, and provide an "on site"
resource where information related to these goals may be obtained.
